Prevention Summit

Join WELLWVU and the Office of Compliance and Prevention Education as WVU hosts the fourth annual Prevention Summit.

This year's Summit will take place on Friday, January 30th, 2026 from 9 am to 3 pm in the Mountainlair on WVU's Morgantown campus. Prevention experts from across the University community will come together to share the exciting work they've done or are currently implementing in prevention. 

Registration to attend the Prevention Summit is open to all WVU students, faculty, and staff members and IS FREE OF CHARGE. A light breakfast will be provided. All who attend the full day conference will receive a lunch ticket good for use at any retail location in the Mountainlair.

The tentative schedule is below:

Schedule for the first part of the day for the Prevention Summit. The opening session takes place in the Mountainlair Ballrooms from 9 to 9:50 am. The breakout session of block one occur in the Laurel, Mountain, Monongahela, and Rhododendron Rooms.

Schedule for the second part of the day for the Prevention Summit. The breakout sessions of block two occur in the Laurel, Mountain, Monongahela, and Rhododendron Rooms. Lunch is from noon to one.

Schedule for the third part of the day for the Prevention Summit. The breakout sessions of block three occur in the Laurel, Mountain, Monongahela, and Rhododendron Rooms. Closing session in ballrooms from two to three.
